DIXF-Data was not exported as EXCEL format

Dears,

I have an issue with DIXF tool. I'm trying to export to file as excel format and system generate below error. I Successfully exported as text file without any issue. But please I need it in excel format. The file holds all fields that related to porject contract entity.

System.Exception: Exception from HRESULT: 0xC020801C
at Microsoft.Dynamics.AX.Framework.Tools.DMF.ServiceProxy.DmfEntityProxy.DoWork[T](Func`1 work)

    Hi Faqru,

    Are you able to export other entities as Excel file? How about importing from Excel? Did you include all columns of the Project contract entity?

    Hello,

    Thanks for your replies. I'm trying to exporting project contracts. I include all columns that related to entity but issue is same. I can export as csv but for excel system generates that error.  Also I want to know how can I import .dat. What is the best practices for importing .dat files from DIXF.

    System: AX 2012 R3

    Application ver: 6.3.2000.326

    Hi Faqru,

    Can you create a new question for the import on this forum? Please don't mix questions i one thread.

    You can try to use a debugger or the Trace parser to find out what is causing your issue. I'm not able to reproduce it in my environment. Your version can be a bit different, but not sure.

    Other already asked but can you export to Excel by using other means than DIXF? For example from list page forms? This way we can try to narrow down the problem, perhaps it's not in DIXF at all.
