i have same vendors , inventory item and accounts and what are other things we need to take wen we are creating a new company same like existing one .i means to ask wat are the master tables data which we have to take care .
wen i copied the items i c different item number and description name .plz advice me wat to do .

The easiest thing to do is to backup the original company and restore it to the new company then initialize all of the transaction tables. Unfortunately, you need to know which tables are transaction tables. Are you a partner or an end user?
Our book, Information Flow and Posting maps out the flow of transactional data and can be used to identify the transaction tables.
There is a copy company tool , which copy master files and setup from one company to another .
As i have tried it , it copies data exactly , after that i have noticed that some filed needs to be reset to zero for example . in Accounts receivables Master Files , customer balance should be reset to zero ...etc .I have tried to reconcile but i did not work , so i created some scripts to do that .
A second way it to import data through SQL , but i don't recommend that since it needs deep knowledge in Dynamics GP tables.
Third way the longest i would say . import the data from the old company and re import it to the new one
