HSN Codes Issue (GST India)

Dear Friends,

I have HSN code with Multiple tax Rates, so that i am not able to use HSN with multiple Rates,

Example:

HSN code: 3706-- 12%

HSN code: 3706--18%

How can i map please suggest.

Can i change Tax percentage HSN code wise?

    Hi Raghav,

    Under GST, there are three different types of HSN Codes a dealer can use. There are two-, four-, or eight-digit HSN codes for commodities.

    1st two digits- Chapter

    2nd two digits- Heading

    3rd two digits- sub heading

    4th two digits-  country/region extension

    in your case mention sub heading, so that you can attach different percentages to same HSN code.

    Hi Santosh,

    You mean to say there is no HSN code with multiple rates in the list of HSN codes which is provided by Government of India, as i mentioned in the above mail there are two rates for HSN code 3706 with 12% and 18%.

    based on government of india provided list there is no sub heading for HSN code 3706, like that i have find around 70 codes which is having same issue.

    Is Indian government has provided HSN codes with sub heading for all rates?
