Email templates - how can I tag them for different languages?

Greetings all!

I work in an international environment and we have customers from many different countries. We have created email templates for different purposes (invitations to events, hollyday greetings, sales efforts, etc.) and we have translated them into several different languages.

The problem:

In CRM - email templates when creating a new template, there's a standard field called "language" where you can indicate the language of the email. This would be a very useful feature for browsing the many different templates we are generating. The problem is, I only have one option: English. I have tried to find out how to expand the list to include for instance Danish, German, French, Norwegian etc. but have not been succesful.

Can someone explain to me WHY I only get to choose english and secondly how to change it to include multiple languages?

Thanks in advance!

/Jakob

    Purush,

How will this work when I want to send out an email through a Campaign Activity where I have chosen an emails template?

Context - I have a Marketing List with 2 Contacts, 1 French, 1 English. In the Campaign Activity I select the Template I want. Will CRM choose the correct language for each user?

    Jakob,

you get to choose only English Because, your Environment is Installed with only one User Interface language.

    you can find out by,

    Settings -> Administration -> Languages

If you have multiple language packages installed you can see in there.

If your CRM server is On-Premises,

    1.go to this link, www.microsoft.com/.../details.aspx

select the language you want in your CRM server. download them and install them in the server where     your CRM server installed.

2.Then go to Settings->Administration -> Language and Add the language to your CRM Environment.

If your CRM is an Online Version, Directly go to step 2.

Once the languages are Installed and ready, Now Create Different language Email  Templates. make sure you select Corresponding language the Template belongs to in the "Create Email Template window"

There you go, Now you will be Able to Choose Diffrent language and Corresponding Template when you insert Template in your "New Email Window" in your Create new Email Template window in CRM,
