Customer Exchange/Return showing up as On-order in Master Planning

Creating Customer Exchange resulting in Return Sales order and Delivery Sales order for end of life category with Buy to Order strategy. For the new Delivery Sales Order I am looking for Master Planning to generate Planned Purchase Order but is seeing Return Sales Order as On-order and not ordering.

How to make sure Master Planning does NOT see any Return sales order as inbound on-order inventory to used against any need?

Thank you

Sounds like you need to use disposition code of "Replace and scrap" or bring all return orders into a non-nettable "returns" warehouse.   This is AX2012 documentation, but it's not changed from D365 functionality.  learn.microsoft.com/.../specify-how-to-dispose-of-returned-items
