Hi
Invoice price differ from the PO price of received order, and the PO has charges on it then a posting ''price difference for moving average'' is made which does not affect the stock value. if the charges are removed the system work correctly. AX2012 R3
Please advice
Regards
Rizwan
Hi Rizwan,
If you purchase exactly at the current moving average price then no such posting is made. As soon as you have a difference between the current moving average prices and the one you post you get this additional price difference posting.
You can find more information on MS docs and in this whitepaper.

Note that the moving average method is not always updating the cost based on the invoice details. In the next scenario, you will always hit the price difference:
1) Post a product receipt with a certain value.
2) Sell or consume the goods
3) Post the purchase invoice.
Regardless of the dates used on the deduction and invoice, the stock value will not be adjusted anymore. In this case, you will have the posting on price difference.
