I have a client that has two locations opposite each other. The server, one POS and internet are on one side and the second POS is on the opposite side. The two locations are connected via an Engenius 5611 access point. The location that has the standalone POS won't connect to the SQl DB. I now have brought both POS systems to a single location. I am still unable to get POS #2 to connect to the database. I did not originally set this up and the former consultant left half way through the job. I have spent some time cleaning up the network and have resolved all of their issues except the one. I was able to connect and get POS #2 up and running last week but it was very unstable. I have attached screenshots of the error when trying to connect to the DB in RMS as well as an ipcong/all.
Thanks in advance for any help.

I have the same question (0)Hi, I can't see much from you second screen shot, but can you ping each POS from the other?
If yes, then on the Slave (the second side, as you mention) check the Store Ops Admin - Configuration settings. They must match what the Master are. If an IP address was used, then that IP might have changed since you brought both POS terminals to another location. If the computer name was used, make sure DNS can resolve that name. If an alias was used (using Client Network Utility, then check the connection parameters are ok. Another thing, if you are using Windows Firewall, is to make sure Port 1433 is excluded, as that is what is used for the POS terminals to talk to each other. Hope that helps.
