Prevent a user from updating a field

We have created a form which is being used to make payments. One user creates the payment request and then marks it ready for authorsation. In doing so a flow runs to log the user that set this field to yes in a locked field.

We then want to prevent that same user from marking the authorised option set to Yes.

This is to prevent the same user requesting the payment also authorising the payment.

Have tried looking at ways of hiding the authorised option set if logged in user = sent for authorisation user but have had no luck. Any ideas would be great.

Hi,

You can use field level security to control access to the authorised option set field.

Hi @Adrian, the field level security doesnt work for us as there isnt a role or group of people that shouldn't be able to mark that field, it needs to ensure a user can't select both fields.
