SP Document Management "based on entity" issue

Hi all!

I have an issue with SharePoint document management in Dynamics, where files in opportunities for example are not stored in a subfolder under "account". The "based on entity" checkbox is enabled and "account" selected. Files are still stored under the specific entity. I did a test with a new SP website, same issue at all. Do you have any idea what to try further to fix it?

Hi Kevin,

Documents of a child entity only appear in the parent documents folder when the parent document location has been created.

To create the location, navigate to the Documents tab of the parent record. If no such location is created, child documents will not appear in the parent entity folder.

Once the location is created, child documents will begin to appear in the parent entity folder.

Hi Leah,

I have also tested this before. The parent folder is available but Dynamics still doesn't create child folders in it. In other environments all works fine. Btw also by not creating the parent folder first - Dynamics does it automatically.

Found the issue. For whatever reason I created a new column for "account" instead of using the existing one. Can't even remember I did this. Using the correct account column system-wise solved it.
