Is there a way to convert the User Defined field on the SOP Header to a Numeric Type so it can be used in a calculated field?

Thank you,

Susan

    Hi Susan,

Assuming here you are referencing a calculated field on a Report Writer report such as Blank Invoice Form etc....

If so, then yes, you can use a system function in a calculated field in RW to create an integer or currency value from the user defined string value and nest a couple RW calculated fields to do that task.

You would first create a calculated field to convert the user defined field to an integer or currency by using the system function SRT_CUR

Then use that as an input to another calculated field doing the math

Here I have 123 in User defined 1

And when I drag the fields onto a report I get expected results.

    Hope that helps
