Hi Everyone,
I want to achieve the following scenarios:
1. In customer journey how can I remove the specific contact from pipeline and not whole customer journey as this can be done by suppression segment.
2. In customer journey we have one segment and one mail, the contact is added in segment and the mail is sent. Then is it possible to send the same mail to same contact again and again if the contact is removed and then added to segment or the contact is never removed from the segment.
3. Can we increase or decrease the time of segment refreshing as the default time is one hour.
4. Can we do something like: in pipeline there is Scheduler -> Segment -> Marketing Mail and then other pipelines.
Then can we do something that the customer journey starts evaluating the segment after the scheduler tile time is passed. Eg. I set scheduler tile to 1 day and contacts are added in segment but customer journey starts evaluating the pipeline after day 1 that is when scheduler is set to.
5. How does Bypass Email Deduplication setting in marketing -> settings -> Default marketing settings work and its uses.
6. If i want to remove the contact from whole customer journey is there any other way other than Suppression Segment.
Thanks,
Sameer.
Hi Commun,
Thank you for your questions.
1) It's possible through suppression segment (we would then remove a given contact from a journey from whichever step he/she is currently at) or through a trigger condition.
2) Recurrent journeys are the only way to send the same email to the same contact. If a contact was added to a segment before the new iteration has started - then this contact would receive an email again.
3) We don't have this functionality at the moment. Can you please submit your idea at the Ideas site? (https://experience.dynamics.com/ideas/categories/?forum=dfa5b83d-9e4c-e811-a956-000d3a1bef07&forumName=Dynamics%20365%20Marketing)
4) We don't have this functionality at the moment. Can you please submit your idea at the Ideas site? (https://experience.dynamics.com/ideas/categories/?forum=dfa5b83d-9e4c-e811-a956-000d3a1bef07&forumName=Dynamics%20365%20Marketing)
5) Please find our documentation here: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/marketing/mkt-settings-default-marketing#the-bypass-email-deduplication-tab
6) It can be done by using an exclusion segment (as part of a compound segment defining the journey's audience), or through a suppression segment, or through a trigger.

Hi Sameer,
1. Once contacts have joined into customer journey, suppression segment would be the only option to remove specific participants from pipeline,
or you should use trigger or splitter to make some one don't flow to following marketing activities,
or you exclude some contacts(another segment) when building a segment at beginning.
2. Only recurring customer journey could send marketing email again and again, once a customer journey went live, he/she will still keep flow to prepared activities.
(1 & 2, I only tested with dynamic segment.)
3. We couldn't change it at present.
5. Please check description of this section.
6. As what I said in 1 and 2.
Regards,
Clofly
