I just want to know how if it's possible to upgrade from AX 2009 to D 365 FO. If yes, guide me the process or refer me any other related articles.
And i also want to know what does the AX 2009 migration tool does.

By using AX (DMT) we can migrate information from AX 2009 to Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations.The DMT also helps you locate and fill gaps between the table schema of AX 2009 and Finance and Operations.
