I am not sure what the options are and best approach is to the following scenario:

SCENARIO

  • I need to

2) Automatically set the default order settings to STOPPED for purchasing and sell

without an extension.

QUESTIONS:

1) Is this a good case for power automate? or for ____________

2) What is the recommendation approach to optimize

    a) easy to implement and maintain,

    b) least performance implications,

    c) highest probability of always working

Thanks in advance!

In Power Automate you can consume business events , for example when a product is modified. Then you can use Power Automate to update product record.

For low volumes of records, it should work without any issues. If you trying to update millions of records, this might not be the best solution might be the best solution.

You can trigger a data change alerts for a field change in D365.

Then create a power automate that is triggered to that event.

If I'm not in mistake there is already a template for that in Microsoft template.

You can create a more complex event using a data entity event of D365 to trigger a power automate
