Dimensions from sub-ledger transaction are not transmitted to the general ledger posting

Hi,

A dimension value in the posting is missing on main accounts where the main account is in an account structure where the dimension is tagged with the "",* (accepts blank values). This occurs when the subledger transaction includes a dimension, but the posting on the main account (general ledger account) does not include the dimension. When a subledger transaction is also posted in a main account which is apart of an account structure that says the dimension in question is mandatory, the dimension is posted.

Why isn't the dimension also posted in the general ledger accounts when it is included in the sub-ledger account and the account structure of the main accounts accepts any of the dimensions and also accepts blank values?

Can you please share the transaction where you see dimension is selected?

Hi

The only example I can think of i you forget to select table or posting in Dimension when you post foreign currency revaluation for customers or vendors.

As suggested by some one else it will help if you add screen shots of you configuration.

By the way, have you activated financial dimension string on Financial dimension configuration for integrating applications?

Hi,

Even if the accept blank values are allowed, system should also contain the dimension selected on the transaction.

Can you please check the COA , if there is any setup according to dimensions like to use blank.
