"Wells Fargo Merchant Services has reviewed your account, and we believe that you have equipment which will not support the new standard from the US National Institute of Standards and Technology for equipment that use the Internet for transmitting information. All equipment using the Internet must move from 1024-bit Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption to 2048-bit SSL encryption. SSL is a protocol designed to enable applications to transmit information back and forth securely. The new standards are effective August 31 2013.
"Our records show your business uses a type of PC/POS payment application, such as Microsoft Retail Management Systems (RMS), on the Total Systems (TSYS) network. Please contact your point of sale vendor or your Value Added Reseller (VAR) directly to find out what updates are available to ensure your system is compliant with these new requirements. If your POS system is not updated by the effected date your software may not be able to connect to the Internet in order to process credit card transactions."
What the ehll does that mean? Is there something in RMS that covers this request? User might be V1.3.
