Create multiple subgrid on a form regarding same entity

Hello,

I added a N:N relation between Lead and Account. Then I create in Lead form 5 (Partners, Shipyards, ShipDesigns, ShipOwners and Others) subgrids containing different kind of account. 4 kind of this have its view  (Partners, Shipyards, ShipDesigns, ShipOwners) and I added it as in image0.PNG and similarly for Shipyards, ShipDesigns, ShipOwners, Others 31038.PNG a bit different.

I have 2 problems:

  1. If I add in Partner subgrid an Account that is in Partners and Shipyards view, I see it even in Shipyard subgrid
  2. I see all records in "Others" subgrid, but I want to see records only I added it in this subgrid

Can you help me to solve this?

Thanks

    Hi Carlik,

    This is by design.

Note that the sub-grid views only act as filters. When a record matches both views of sub-grid A and sub-grid B, it will appear in both sub-grids.

In your scenario, since there is only one N:N relationship, the same Account will indeed appear in multiple sub-grids. Both of your problems are for this reason.

If you want to achieve that no duplicate records appear in each sub-grid, then you need to ensure that the filter range of each sub-grid view does not overlap at all.

Or, you need to create a separate N:N relationship for each sub-grid, so that even if their view filters overlap, a record will not appear in multiple sub-grids.

    Hello Hao,

Second part of your answer seems be helpful for me

"Or, you need to create a separate N:N relationship for each sub-grid, so that even if their view filters overlap, a record will not appear in multiple sub-grids."

I tried and it seems working.

    Thanks so much
