Reporting Services in SQL 2008 R2

ReportReport

Hello,

In SQL 2005 Reporting Services, I can log into Reporting service and browse all existing reports.  I can edit them when needed.  They were in the "Home" folder, once logged in.  I noticed that I do not see the reports in SQL 2008 Reporting Services.  I do not even see the Home folder anymore.  Where does it store the reports now?

Your help would be greatly appreciated.

    Tremor,

Have you successfully deployed the reports to the SQL 2008 Reporting Services website?  GP has kept the same deployment that I'm aware of which should be Company > Module > Reports.

I have deployed all the SRS reports.  In SQL Server Management Studio for 2005, I use to log into the Reporting Services and see all the reports (GP and custom reports) on the Reporting Services Websites. In SQL 2008, they are not there.

    Tremor,

Did you deploy in native mode?  Try looking at Reporting Services Configuration Manager.  That will tell you the Reports Manager url, which is where you should see your reports.

    Thanks

    Rob

    Hi Rob,

I can see the reports and I can run them.  I was just wondering why they do not show up when I log into Reporting Services via SQL Server Management Studio 2008.  In SSMS 2005, I can go to Home folder and see the list of folders and reports. I can also right click on it and edit, save the rdl file and make changes to them using Visual Studio.  I am just wondering if that changed in SQL server 2008.

    Thanks,

    Tremor

    Tremor,

Per this link (social.msdn.microsoft.com/.../9bdf04c7-463f-4a50-bf7c-3fbda36cdcb1), all that functionality was moved to Reports Manager.

    Thanks

    Rob

Thanks Rob.  I will have to get the Report Manager then.  I appreciate all your help on this.
