Dear,

I read this link http://crm.fullscope.com/whats-new-in-microsoft-dynamics-crm-2016/, CRM 2016 supported for SMS integration, but I have checked my company system (CRM 2016 onpremise), but I cannot see the SMS Activity, could you help me how to deploy sms solution in CRM 2016?

Thank you so much,

    SMS in Microsoft Dynamic CRM
That's an interesting point about the link mentioning SMS integration for CRM. It's true that out-of-the-box, CRM 2016 on-premise doesn't have built-in SMS functionality.

There are a couple of ways to approach this:

    1. Third-party SMS Integration: This is the most common solution. Third-party connectors like TextSMS4Dynamics by Inogic integrate seamlessly with Dynamics 365 CRM. It offers features like sending and receiving SMS directly from your CRM, automated SMS workflows, and notification alerts for incoming messages and storing message history – all within the familiar CRM interface.TextSMS4Dynamics is a great option developed specifically for Dynamics 365 users, so it should work well with your CRM.
    2. Custom Development: If you have very specific needs, you could explore custom development to create a solution that integrates directly with your CRM. However, this route can be more expensive and time-consuming compared to a third-party connector.

Considering the ease of use and features, I'd recommend checking out TextSMS4Dynamics. It has a 15-day free trial, so you can test it out and see if it meets your needs. You can find more information on the website or Microsoft AppSource.

RE: SMS in Microsoft Dynamic CRM

    Hi Anish,

SMS functionality is added in Microsoft Dynamics Marketing, not in Dynamics CRM. Although you can always setup this integration in CRM using custom development/configuration or using addons.

    Thanks

RE: SMS in Microsoft Dynamic CRM

    Hi Anish,

As I Know that we have to customize for this activity. You can look for third party solution or simplify implement by yourself. These guides are for new implementation.

    1. Look for a SMS provider, register with them and ask them supply you web service.

    2. Create new entity as SMS

    3. Implement the plug in to call web service of your provider to send.

For receive sms, you can give them your CRM web service to write new sms record when your Toll receive sms.

You also build SMS solution with GSM modem.

    Regards,
