Approval Notification when a document is approved on NAV 2016

Hello,

I am trying to create a workflow that allows for notifications to be sent to the sender of a document when that document is approved. I have setup the notification setup on the users but still cant get the system to send a notification when the document is approved.

Hello DanKalion,

You have to setup 2 more things,

1> First you have to setup Approval User Setup for Sender also [See the bellow screenshot].

2> Second you have to extend your workflow, See the screenshot.

Hi

If you are able to send Approvals and not receiving Notifications only, check "Job Queue" to send notification (Notification Entry Dispatcher) has been setup and it is running.

Why create a notification for a single user? does it mean that whenever any document is approved the user specified under the workflow response would be the recipient of the approval notification?

Hello,

There is indeed a challenge in getting workflow notifications work in Nav 2016. You can overcome this challenge by writing a code unit.

Hi Binesh,

This email notification will assign to some specific user id, for any process if there are multiple senders then this will not work.
