Email template issue in D365 F&O

Dear All,

I am getting the below ERROR Message while running the workflow.

12/04/2020 16:18:05:
Stopped (error): SysWorkflowQueue-resume X++ Exception: No message was sent. Language en-US was not found.
at SysWorkflowWorkItem-create
SysWorkflowWorkItem-createWorkItems
SysWorkflow-save
SysWorkflowQueue-resume

Here is the History,

Recently I have configured the EMail notification template for both(global & legal entity wise).

As per my client requirement, email notification required only for the Purchase order(legal entity wise) and for PR(globally), not for the other workflows.

And as per my observation, the email template(legal entity wise), was affected by all other workflows. and on the testing side, I have assigned the PO Email template to Vendor invoice workflow, then the workflow successfully completed.

So, here, is there any other way to skip the above error message or I need to assign the PO Email template/generic template for all the other workflows?

    Hello Vinod P,

    Please check in below areas if language is set properly according to the system language. Example; if your system language is EN-US, then check the same as per the following.

    --- System administration > Workflow > Workflow parameters.

    --- Organization administration > Workflow > Workflow parameters.

    --- Also check in workflow configuration, which language you set. If there is any translation required; make sure this is also configured properly as you can see below.

    --- Also check which user is getting this issue. Or this is happening for all the users? Check in User options for that user and see what language is set there.

    Good Morning Vinod P,

    The error mentions that there is a problem with the en-us language setting of your email template.

    Can you double check the template especially for the language settings of (a) your template, (b) your vendor and (c) your workflow configuration?

    You might have overlooked some translations.

    Here is my screenshot which I was configured in the system.

    And the Workflow side, we didn't use the translation option.

    Hello Vinod P,

    I had gone through this case before and what I found that, someone by mistake changed the system default language from EN-US to EN-GB and we got this issue.

    Later we replaced the original one (EN-US) as system default language. And also set the translation from EN-US to EN-GB in the workflow configuration and the issue got closed.

    At any time, do you think the default system language is changed?

    Also as asked before; any particular user is facing this or happening for all the users? Have you checked the language setup at user level in the User options form?

    Dear Sourav,

    Thanks for the quick response.

    and also thanks for sharing the information on causes for the issue.

    I am working on different ways to resolve the issue. even from the user side i am cross checking the language. and it is updated as en-us.

    I will update it, if the issue has been resolved.
