Error on deletion of multiple records at a time

Posted on by 40

Hi,

I'm working on CRM 2013,

there are 2 custom entities 1. WorkLines and 2. Graveyard.

There is a workflow which triggers on deletion of a Workline record.

Whenever a WorkLine record is deleted,  a new "Graveyard" record must be created with WorkLines record details like Description and integration key.

This workflow works fine if I delete 1 or 2 WorkLines record at a time.

But the deletion of multiple Workline records like 4 or 5, it throws below error

"Error message: An error has occurred. The selected action was not completed for one or more records.".

And sometimes if we click OK on the error pop message, it creates duplicate records.

Sometimes I get this error and times I have no issue in deleting the records. It is really strange.

Can you please help me solve this issue.

    Hi yashi1985,

If the error is thrown only sometimes and only one use meet, it is not a problem of setting.

Maybe you need check difference from another user.

    Hi Leah Ju,

Thank you so much for your reply.

Forgot to mention in my post that the error is thrown only sometimes.

My colleagues with same security roles does not face this issue.

I have bulk edit and delete permission.

    Hi yashi1985,

Firstly, you can check ‘bulk delete’ and ‘bulk edit’ permission of the security role that the user who meet the error.

Go Settings > user to click the use you need and check what security role are assigned.

Then go security role to set permission.

    bulk delete:

     bulk edit:

And can you do some changes to status field? I find one thread, which has the same error, he resolve the problem by removing status field from the form.

    Regards,

    Leah Ju
