Hi,
We have challenges fully controlling our printers. Some printers (A4) work all right as we can skip windows dialogue boxes and print through HP ePrint Service. Somehow Microsoft manage to make the push on “Print” in BC go through HP ePrint and back to our HP printers, with no other obstacle than the reaction time.
Printing to different label printers present windows dialogue boxes that we really don’t want, as they offer possibilities for user interference that is not desired. Those prints are managed locally without any cloud access. Earlier tests showed that it was impossible to control orientation and other parameters when we printed through the HP ePrint Service.
To get a more effective flow, we consider if there are alternative ways to print. If upgrading from 16 to 18 or 19 gives us better printing functionality, we will do so.
- How is the experience with the Microsoft Universal Print Service? Does it really offer “simple, comprehensive and secure printing experiences” as promised? Is it worth the time to go down that lane?
- Can you recommend some bullet proof way to print that we have overseen? It seems odd to do our printing through some cloud service, as we run our BC locally in an all-Microsoft environment.
Any good advice?
Kind regards
Carsten
