Hi All,

I am trying to the items barcode on the document routing layout so that when it is received, it prints the label with the barcode and some other info.

Am i not able to generate the barcode by standard?

I have tried $Barcode$ and $Itembarcode$ but when scanning it just returns the text.

Any suggestions would be great.

Hi Shaun,

First You can use a label designer. it's a way easy than trying to code you self. then to add the barecode item to the label you will need a small customisation.

Create a new filed in licenseplatelabel table (Alpha20)

Create a new field in the barecodes tables (Print in WMS) (Yes No)

Add an extention to the class that inserts the label record to lookup the selected barecode and insert it in the field you just added.

Thank you but this returns that Item number. I am looking for the barcode of the item number.

Hello Shaun,

My two bit to add to Mehdi's answer.

The only fields are available are these listed here in Document Routing Layout.

To make more fields available, you need to add to the License Plate Lable table and modify the code to insert the correct value. There are developer documentation on what modification are required. My developper friends tell me that its 'simple'. You can readily see the content of the License Plate Label table here. The fields here are the same as those available in Document Routing Layout:
