Mgmt Reporter FP1, Migration Wizard error

We are trying to run the Migration wizard on SQL "ManagementReporter" database.  The connection test is successful, but when we click next we get "The database selected is not a management reporter database" message.

    I have made the User as part of the db_datareader, db_datawriter, General User and public but still getting the same error message.

    I realized that there were two MR Migration Wizard installer in the MR CU14 download.  I uninstalled the older one and reinstalled the correct version and voila, went through with the migration just fine.

    I would like to confirm that until you make the user you are connected to the system as - likely Administrator - a properly configured user in SQL you will not be able to complete the process.

    Once completed, the error was solved.

    I received the same error "The database selected is not a Management Reporter database"...

    I checked the SQL roles assigned to my user for the Management Reporter database, and it had the following:

    - db_datareader

    - db_datawriter

    - public

    So I decided to try adding the role "GeneralUser" to my user, and then I relaunched the Migration Wizard and was able to walk through it without error.

    Thanks for the reply.  I was logged on as Administrator.  I am not sure what the issue was.  I unistalled Management reporter (client, server, connector) and reinstalled them.  That fixed it for me.

    There could be a few different things going on here. First off, be sure to be logged in as an administrator with sufficient rights to the database. That could potentially cause issues with the migration since local users won't have any rights to the MR database.

    For the company issue, please be more specific about it not connecting. Also check the Windows Application Event Log for any error messages on both problems.

    Did you resolve this.  We are getting the same error.

    Also, I can launch the Report Designer fine but if I try to set up a company it does not connect to the database.

    Are you able to launch the Report Designer component of Management Reporter?
