I Just have to vent - I'll keep it brief

Posted on by 20

CRM 2015 now exports to tables! Microsoft fixes 1 problem and creates 5 but the most sinister of all to me is the Linked Table. Go ahead, do a search. Try this one, How to break a link that won't break? Really? Half baked solution maybe? Search for [, track down validation, slip a quarter into Voltar... the responses are endless, none of which resolved my issue. I had to copy workbook and delete worksheets until I found offending worksheet and then unhinge some random pieces of my Vlookup, Range, table, heaven knows what. Two hours wasted for typically 30 minutes worth of work. Is it any wonder the world was more productive in 1950 with pencil and paper than they are today which computer programs that get worse and worse rather than better and better.

Thanks,

You can delete, flag, excommunicate me, throw me under the bus, do whatever it is that the Microsoft "Community" likes to do with people who can't seem to stop the madness. The venting did it's job for me. Back to Exhell. You keep those hasty release cycles coming, Microsoft. Yeah, yeah, wrong venue for venting.

    Hey,

I think Dynamics is simply the new way of building software products.. There are so many features - nobody knows for sure if everything works and how exactly:)) But, if you simply assume that all of those features work in the best possible way without any limitations, you are going to be in trouble. It's a bit of a magician's hat really - you can find all sorts of surprises there. Some of them will be nice, some of them will be ugly.

Hehe - do you feel better now?!

But in all seriousness - this is actually a good place to vent provided it is polite and constructive!

I've not had the issue you are talking about - could you describe the steps I can do to reproduce and perhaps we can help prevent this 'Exhell' next time!
