Find Journal Entry Number if only AP Batch Name is know

I need to find a Journal Entry Number.  I have the AP Batch Name, but I cannot find the JE#.  I've looked in AP transactions inquiry and I can find the transaction, which gives me the batch #, dollar amount, distribution, etc... but no journal entry number.

I've also looked in smartlists, but journal entry # isn't one of the columns that can be added.

I cannot run the GL to find the JE# as the entry is not showing up on the GL.

An AP invoice was paid, the check was cut (so it has a check number and a batch number), but it did not record to the GL.  I'm hoping to find the JE# so I can search for it using JE inquiry.

    Hi Keith,

Do you have access to the SQL environment? If so since you are able to find the transaction in Payables Management you have access to the Voucher number and Document number. You would be able to use either of the SQL scripts below to see if it has been posted.

Select JRNENTRY, * from GL20000 Where ORCTRNUM = 'XXX'

Select JRNENTRY, * from GL20000 where ORDOCNUM = 'YYY'

Replace XXX with the Voucher Number

Replace YYY with the Document number

Please let me know if you have any additional questions!
