An unexpected client error has occurred in Management reporter while opening a financial report

We are using D365 F&O on-premises and I've been getting the error below whenever I try to run a report. What I've observed and is consistent is that the error is intermittent and only occurs when I'm not on the company's network. This wasn't the case in the past as reports were generated on or off the company's network. Dow you know what is causing this?

Hello Beckfordk,

I would check your Event Viewer (Windows Logs | Application) and see if an error message is logged in there.

Also, when you try and click Edit or New does Report Design load up and then allow you to login successfully or does that display an error message?

Hi Erik, I checked and are no errors found in the event viewer that signifies an issue with the reports.

Also, when I click the edit, the report design does open and I can log in. However, if I try to generate a report even from the report designer, it gives me the same error in the D365FO app.

Unfortunately we are not yet on the latest version of the D365FO app. We are running

Application release

10.0.9 (10.0.383.10010)

Platform release

Update33 (7.0.5559.35512)

Could the version be an issue?
