MS Dynamics GP Automated Reports

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to automate reports in GP 10? We have a user who wants to see various PO reports on his printer when he gets to his desk in the morning. Do people do this in GP or SSRS or some other reporting tool?

    Sir,

How about creating Macros? On one click event it will start printing require reports for him.

    Thanks

Technically, if we have an SSRS report, we can certainly schedule it to be emailed to his email ID, provided SSRS SMTP setup is configured. But if he wants the POs to be automated from GP, I doubt. There are several questions that arise on my mind:

    1. On what basis he would require the POs?

    2. Is there any restriction/criteria which the POs must satisfy before it gets to his desk?

    3. Does he want ONLY the hardcopy of the report or could he live with softcopy on his inbox?

Macro, as suggested by Sandip, is also another option, provided GP must be open to get it done. Which I doubt is not what this user want.

I will be meeting with him in two weeks to discuss exactly what he wants. From what I have been told so far is that when he comes each morning one report he expects to see is a report that will tell him what was received the day before. Now emailing is a good idea. The reports need to be scheduled. So I can a report to run at 5am so when he comes in at 8am there it is in his inbox. I will get a complete list when I meet with him but this is conceptually for what he is looking.

Richard I would recommend SRS reports or Excel reports. You should be able to create pretty much any report and deploy it to any location for that user to get at any time.

HI Richard, does he need the actual PO printout? If not, what about using Business Alerts to notify him of new PO's?

I doubt he wants to see PO's. He wants to see what was received the day before. After I meet with him I will have a better idea of which reports he really wants.
