OPOS vs Windows Drivers / Logo on RCPT.

About 5 years ago, I have an HP out of the box solution for RMS and it worked great!  Although, the system was under strength and to have RMS, Outlook and a couple of tabs open on a browser would bog it down.

The printer I had was an HP USB Powered and one thing that I could do with it was to tell RMS what my logo was and it would print it.

About 4 years ago, I moved RMS from that ATOM system over to a faster computer [laptop] and had to say bye-bye to the printer and now I am using an epson tm-t88iv .  From what I have read, you cannot print the logo from the NVRAM as the RMS or  the OPOS drivers do not support it and I would have to use Windows drivers.

I am out of my element here, but does that make any sense to anyone?  Is it hard to swap from OPOS to the Windows and still have the same functionality and get the logo to print on the receipt?

    Hello Andy,

You should be able to print a logo using OPOS drivers; and the following KB article includes instructions on how to add s store logo:

How to add a store logo to a receipt in Microsoft Dynamics Retail Management System Store Operations

    mbs2.microsoft.com/.../kbdisplay.aspx

    Hopefully this helps.

    Hi Todd -

I did follow the directions and I can see the logo in the POS screen, but it doesn't print and I think it has to do this:

    support.scansource.com/.../popup_adp.php

    Hello Andy,

    Thank you for the reply.

Did you try making the logo size smaller?

The logo is currently 460x63 , what do you suggest?

I also just tried 400x55 and that did not work either.

What file format is the logo in? It needs to be a monochrome bitmap if being sent from the PC. You can convert it using Microsoft Paint. See here for more info: http://tinyurl.com/k5vejv8

Thanks Andy and Ben for the replies.

If not using Monochrome Bitmap try that first.

As far as size I'm not sure it's the dimensions as opposed to the physical file size.

What is the size of the file?

    Thanks,

    Todd

The printer I went from was an HP A794-2905-HW00 and even though it was a USB, it has a proprietary type of connector that got the power from the PC versus a brick.  The new printer is an EPSON tm-t88iv, again this is a USB printer, but connect to power via its own power supply.

The image I used back when I had the HP printer is the same image.

I would upload the image, but these forums do not support *.bmp  [what?]

    460x63x1b

The size if 4kb on disk

    Thanks Andy,

Was this file saved as a Monochrome Bitmap?

    Thank you in advance.
