Dashboards as read only

Hi all,

How do I make a dashboard read only?

In our current dashboards a user can change the display in a diagram by right-clicking on a column, and instead of showing the total number of cases, they can ask for total divided by employees.

Is it possible to limit this and make the dashboard read only?

Best regards

Lene

    Hi Partner,
Could you share screenshots about it?
By "diagrams" do you mean chart?

    Hi Leah

    Yes - I mean charts 😄

Hope these pictures help to understand my problem.

This is what we show - and would like to keep it like that.

This is the action they are able to do - sort the data by fx caseworker

    Caseworkers names are crossed out.

    Hi Partner,
This is OOB feature in the chart.
There doesn't seem to be a place provided to customize this feature.

    Lene,

We have plenty of dashboard tiles that restrict a chart and a view.  The system allows us to restrict to a specific view and a specific chart, but if the User selects to "Drill down by" they get all columns in the entity, not just the columns in the view.  So, I can see where this may be an issue for your situation and I can see where the system should limit the columns available, in a system dashboard, to only those columns available in the view.  From what I'm seeing, your only hope is custom code or hitting the lottery on the Microsoft D365 Ideas site.

If you post an idea, post back here with a link and I'll up vote it.

    Best of Luck,

    Jim
