YTD reconcile

Posted on by 1,210

Dear all,

In SmartList, Total Sales YTD does not show correct amount. Because Fiscal year data was not closed until March, so the amount (Jan to Mar) was included to previous year.

To fix this, I had to correct YTD amount manually (Sales > Cards > Summary, then enter the amount in “Year to Date” column which was blank.)

Is there any way to reconcile YTD amount automatically?

can anyone provide more information about this issue?  What table and column contains the last close date?  If you change the close date, and reconcile customer balances, will it re-popuate the YTD sales column?

    Hi,

You were on the right track in identifying the issue. In that because the year was closed late, the Jan and Mar amounts were included in the YTD amounts.

The reason reason behind this is that SmartList reports or Vendor Summary reports pull data from the Amounts Since Last Close view as it appears when you click Cards | Sales | Summary. So if the Amounts Since Last Close view is incorrect, the data in the Smartlist Objects (or the folders in Smartlist) would show incorrectly.

I do remember a fix for this which involves running scripts to correct the Amounts Since Last Close view through SQL after the close was done. I would suggest creating a case with Dynamics Support for this so that you can get further assistance on this.

    Hope that helps.
