How to increase timeout period for bulk data report in Business central

Can anyone tell me how to extend timeout period for report in business central?

My report contains bulk data and when I preview the report, it moves to error window after few seconds. I need to increase its timeout period to open that report.

Kindly suggest a possible solution

    Is it SaaS or on-premise?

    On SaaS you cannot do that and you need to review your report. On-premise you can check some service tier parameters like SqlBulkImportBatchSize or the other timeout related options.

    You cannot increase the timeout. There is a limit on both dataset size and report processing.

    To mitigate this issue you have to either apply filter on your report and/or optimize it

    On premise

    -------------

    if this has still the old windows client then you can inspect the report, otherwise you have to reduce the dataset size until it renders correctly. You might also think of running the report server side (schedule a report feature)
