Create a custom workflow for Vendor creation that restrict the usage of the vendor until it's approved

Dears,

It seems this is not possible without customization: How to create a custom workflow for Vendor creation that restrict the usage of the vendor until it's approved?

Currently, Business central asking to click Send for approval button which the user will always forget and there is nothing to prevent the user from using the newly created vendor.

I have the same question (0)

    Thanks, Mohana Yadav,

This is a great idea, however, it does not restrict the user from using that vendor, I'm looking for a solution that prevents the user to use it until it's approved.

I tried to incorporate power automate, but the only option is to block the vendor, which simply unlocked by the user

Isn't the simple solution to that to simply train your users not to unblock blocked vendors?

In general I feel that we too often code around things to compensate for not training our users properly.

I agree with you NorthW, training is so important, but keeping the door open and waiting until a bigger problem happenes is not good.

Always preventive actions are better than corrective actions.

I think it will not allow you to post any documents until the vendor is approved. Am I wrong?

    Yes, Mohana Yadav

Thanks a lot, this is working great
