Fixed asset dimension change and depreciation expense allocation to new dim

Hi Everyone

We have allocated fixed assets to departments using dimensions. Say start of the year its PROD and now middle of this month 15th July we change the dimension to SALES. Can the system allocate depreciation from 1 Jan to 14th July to department PROD and from 15the July SALES?
