Purpose of Quantity field in the Voucher transactions

Hi,

I want to know the purpose of Quantity field in the Voucher transaction form. Can you anybody explain me regarding what are all transactions need to post for updating the Quantity value in the GL-> Voucher transaction form.

    Hi Abila,

    In some cases accountants would like to register a quantity related to transactions. E.g. when posting fuel costs, they would like to enter the liters. For that purpose you can enter the quantity in a journal and it will be posted also to the accounting entries.

    Hi Andre,

    Thanks  for you feedback. In fact, The qty is displayed for Sales order consumption type of transaction. I have tried normal sales order and Return order process. But, while posting the transactions that Quantity is not getting displayed and also I tried to find Quantity field in the General journal, Invoice journal and Payment journals. I am not able to find any records.. Can you pls provide your suggestions.
