Hi.

got a scenario where out of thousands of supplliers we have 1 supplier only, for the next 6-12 months, that will bring batch controlled items into a non wax warehouse. is there any clever way to automatically assign a batch number so receipt can occur with out having to manually assing this?

Hi tl82,

Take a look at link below. You should be able to do this in non-wax warehouse as well. Setup would remain same.

Hi Ti82,

You can define the batch number automatically by using the auto batch number functionality. You need to create a new batch group, for automatic batches.

Inventory Management> Setup> Dimensions

Later attach on the product you want to receive as auto batch,

Released Products> Manage Inventory Tab> Tracking> Batch number group

The batch number would appear automatically through this way on your PO header.

tracking dimension group would work for all inbound irrespective of supplier hence in order to do it for just 1 supplier it would be a gap and would need customization to fulfill
