Hi All,
I have the following case: A company produces adhesive tapes. At the last stage there is a group of 12 cutting machines (I assume a Resource Group called Cutting). Each one of the cutting machines I assume it is a resource. Each product (and there is a couple of thousand of such products) may have more than one possible cutting machines that may use (different routings).
E.g Product A001 can be cut either in cutting machine A1 (5m/min) or A2(7m/min) or in A7 (2m/min) or in a combination of these machines (in this case there is a time for transferring cutting from e.g. A1 to A2 (30 min).
Another Product A002 can be cut either in cutting machine A1 or A3 or A7 or in combination of these machines.
The question is: Can AX suggest planned orders in order to better utilize resources (cutting machines) by avoiding overcapacity in specific resources (cutting machines) and minimize lead-times? (The scenario is 'Make to Order' not 'Make to Stock')
BR,
Michalis
