RE: Error on Adjust exchange rates

This means as it is in the message , you have posted an entry missing a mandatory dimension code,

    Solution to that

1- developer to codeunit and update the missing journals dimensions values

2- if developer is not avaliable and as it is a currency valuation , all you have to do is to set the dimension code as not mandatory change the option field to be blank , this will allow you to make your revaluation after that set the dimension to it is defualt

    Sabine,

You might need a Developer to expose the field but on the Currencies, you can show Global 1 and Global 2 Dimensions. Here you can preset what the value answer should be. Expose the field on the card and answer the Dimension and you should be good.

    Thanks,

    Steve

RE: Error on Adjust exchange rates

    Hi Steve,

Thanks for your reply. our whole Chart of Accounts have mandatory Dimension Office Code, so I don't understand why the system reject the FX adjustment as any postings without Office code will not be possible.

I have run "general ledger entries" for the whole year and checked that Dimension Office has a value for each transaction and it does. Where else can I check that a value is missing?

    Thank you.

RE: Error on Adjust exchange rates

    Sabine,

You have a Dimension Value requirement setup on the Chart of Accounts you are posting too. Look at the G/L Accounts that you setup for the Currencies:

Check these accounts which most likely require Dimension Code Office but missing the Value. This transaction would be hard pressed to enter the value so creating an account that will not require this is prudent.

    Thanks,

    Steve
