Using a word template for multiple contacts?

Hi,

I have a template that I use to generate a welcome letter, and I usually just go into the contact record and download each individually. Is there a way I can do this for multiple contacts at once without having to go into each contact record? It's very time consuming

    there is a commercial product to achieve this, I am not aware of free or community tools to do the same
