Custom Image Field Is Not Showing Up

Hello. I am adding my first custom image field to a custom entity. I created the field (named Image) the way I would any other field, and I chose Image for field type. I saved it and received no errors but the field is nowhere to be found. I tried creating another one just to see what would happen (also named Image) and it told me that a field with duplicate name exists so I know the field is there, but why is it not showing up for me to add it to the form? Thank you.

By the way... my company JUST upgraded to CRM 2015!

Did you check the checkbox in Form properties display tab after adding the image field?

once you check this and publish , when you open record it will show default image next to the Record title where you can click and add new image to the record

Hmmm... Maybe I am going about this the wrong way? Thank you for your answer, I needed to know how to do that as well, but what I was really trying to accomplish was having a form (more specifically a form for a product) that allows a user to enter all the information for the product (which I have and can do) but also allows the user to upload an image of the particular product. I assumed I would create an image field and then the field on the form would allow the user to upload the image. Am I wrong? Is there a different way to do this?

    Hello Captain CRM:

Not sure if this link will help you or not.

Introduction to entities in Microsoft Dynamics CRM talks about Entity images at the bottom of the page

    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/gg309396.aspx#BKMK_EntityImages

Sample: Set and retrieve entity images

    GO to Settings-> Customization-> Components->Entities-> ENtity->Form -> CLick form properties

Below Post shows how to get into customization of entities section.

    Captain CRM:

The info that Chitra gave you will allow you to add images to your product record. The only drawback to my knowledge is that you can not move the image to another location within that record.

Someone might know if you can do this with JavaScript or with a css file

Also note for CRM online 2014 spring you can not add an images to an Opportunity or a Quote, Quote Product because the system will not allow you to do this, you will get a system Error. You can't add an image field to a system entity.

You can only have a single image field per entity - once you've added one it will appear for you to select in the 'Primary Image' drop down on the entity properties.

    See msdn.microsoft.com/.../gg309396.aspx

    Hope this helps,

    Scott
