Using GP2010 sp3 in Remote Desktop Server on Windows Server 2012, our customer site experiences GP locking or hanging, if a user is away from the session for a couple of minutes or if the user switches to using Outlook for a couple of minutes and then switches back to GP2010.
Has anyone else experienced this or know of a possible cause/solution?

The cause of the problem was finally established to be the following:
There was a misunderstanding of the internal architecture of Server 2012 RDS during the implementation by the customer - which caused all traffic to be routed out to the internet and then proxied via the gateway server.
This would have caused severe latency and was the root cause of the disconnection issues.
Do you have enough memory on the Terminal Server box for the number of users? It sounds like the tasks may be swapped out to disk and thus taking a long time to re-load and respond.

sometime this happen due to the following, have you checked the same on remote server.
1) Enabling MS Office 2003 Web Component
2) Disable DEP for dynamics.exe

Can't say I have seen this before Olly. Are users doing a full remote desktop log into the server or using Remote app?
