Hello Guys,

I already integrated MS Dynamics CRM 2015 On-premise and SharePoint 2013 On-premise

I have one requirement, Whenever an email is arrived from customer in CRM (to particular email id for eg:"sales@contoso.com") with attachment, I need to move the email with attachments to SharePoint and to create a separate folder for that customer if it's not there, otherwise folder creation is no need

Is it possible to achieve this?

Please help how to solve the above problem

Thanks in advance

    Hi Saravanakumar,

It is possible to achieve this. For this purpose, you can use SharePoint Client model and install SharePoint Client components on CRM server. This provides SharePoint DLLs having several methods, for example, to check if folder is present in SharePoint or not, create folder in SharePoint, create file in SharePoint, etc. Also, you need to install List Component for Microsoft Dynamics CRM on SharePoint server.

You can write plugin when email attachment is created and you first need to retrieve the parent email record and check its status if it is received or not. In plugin code, you need to check if folder for customer is present in SharePoint or not using SharePoint methods. If not create the one and create file under the folder using SharePoint methods. You need to pass the content of the attachments as the arguments to the SharePoint method. Also, you can associate the Customer folder in SharePoint to the Customer record in CRM by creating document location record in Cm and setting regarding field as the customer record.

    Hi,

Wonder if you found any solution to this. We have sharepoint and Dynamics CRM, both of Office 365 and still have not found any solution to detach attachments from tracked emails or notes, after Server Based Integration with Sharpoint on line.

    Thanks,

    Ashok

    Hi Fritz,

Thank you for the suggestion and the info. I was hoping before I start exploring solutions by software vendors, I could find some info to build something, something simple. If there is nothing can be done, then, of-course, I will have to ask the management with the cost info. Just wanted to find out if there I can find/make something of my own, if possible.

    Thanks,

    Ashok
