Hello everyone, I hope you are all doing ok during this quarantine.
I am currently setting up a sales budget and I am not sure what to enter in the quantity field as I don't see any Unit of Measure field to go with it. What should I assume here? Should projected qantities be in the base unit of measure from each item?
Similar question in regards to the Cost and Sales amount. As I don't see a currency code field, should I assume the numbers should be in LCY?
Thank you in advance.
Hello
Thank you for posting in the Microsoft Dynamics NAV and Business Central Forum.
You seem to be on the correct track and understanding. All quantities for inventory budgeting would be based on the Base Unit of Measure. Multiple Unit of Measure management is typically only managed and handled on document processing, such as Purchase and Sales Orders. In general, and in particular when managing inventory valuation and quantity analysis, it is managed using Base Unit of Measure.
In addition, currency would be budgeted using the Local Currency/Functional currency of the company operations. Currency equivalent values are managed primarily in the Customer, Vendor Ledger Entries, and Bank Ledger Entries. The Additional Reporting currency provides a second currency for financial reporting at the G/L level.
I hope the information helps you move forward.
Have a great day.
Best Regards,
Tom
