Hi Expert,

We have faced AOS crash issue last night on production environment. Can anyone tell me how can I find out the reason behind it?

I have checked events and found this.

"The Microsoft Dynamics AX Object Server 6.3$01-MicrosoftDynamicsAX service terminated unexpectedly.  It has done this 1 time(s)."

Configure your system to create a memory dump when AOS crashes. Next time it happens, you'll have a dump to analyze.

You have much less information now, but look for event logs written by the AOS. There should be information about an exception, a faulting module and so on.

Have a look at the following tag on the official blogs based on Martin's suggestion:

I have set up the WER registry dump, but that requires a server restart to get it going.

Once you have a dump from the next occurring crash, you could open a paid support incident with Microsoft Dynamics support team to get it checked for you. Alternatively you could try to analyze it yourself using WinDbg.

Did you succeed in collecting a crash dump and analyzing it?

    Hi Hassan,

Can you please check whether anyone tried to make the quantity zero in purchase order line. And AX got crashed.
