How to reduce the performance time for Automated Test Cases

I have almost a thousand Automated Test cases, if I put a run all at once, it is almost taking 2 hours of time to run all. 
 
I would like to know is there any keyworks or better way to do the modifications in the Automated cases to reduce the running time.
 
my team suggested instead of GoToRecord use trap or filtering.
 
Is there any way other than this.
Please suggest your answer.
