Sales report details with specifications

Good day,

 License = Microsoft GP 10 BE.

I'm interesting in find a report or window that details all the sales generated in January 2010. I have tried several methods but the inconvenience is that the values don't match per window ( I assume i'm defining it wrong)

Here goes the options tested:

1.- reports>financial> quick financial and placed a name (ER 2010 TEST) Then went to  reports> financtial> financial statements and created a new one. Then in amounts i picked summary with rollup.Picked on destination just screen and printed it. Total = Lps 1,326,830.92; 874 invoices

2.- Inquiry>sales>sales range inquiry then i placed a name Jan 2010, sort by : Document Date; Ranges: Document date from 01012010 to 01312010 (1 jan to 31 jan 2010) , insert, Ranges: Document Type: From Invoice to Invoice and then Insert. and verified that it just history ticked of. Total = Lps 1,397,957.43; 852 invoices

3.- smartlist = 01 jan 2010 to 31 jan 2010 only invoices some are duplicated Total =Lps 1,562,021.59

4.-inquiry > sales>sales document date 01 jan 2010 31 jan 2010 Total =Lps 1,816,670.68

Summary :Is there any report or inquiry or anything i can use to cross reference the value that appears on #1 Total = Lps 1,326,830.92; 874 invoices, because i did it by sectors and it is the same

    Mayra,

    You are trying to match to the 'Quick Financial' summary. The amount included in sales includes all of the accounts in the Sales category. Without knowing which accounts are involved and where the distributions were pointed, this will be difficult at the summary level. How did you get the Quick Financial to tell you how many invoices were included?

    I'm afraid you are going to have to flog through the detail - invoice by invoice - in order to resolve differences. I think there are too many variables if the reports do not match. Also, the sales account may include information from Receivables Management, it is not restricted to just SOP entries.

    Hope your doing great today.

    In option #1 i was able to verify the quick financial versus the account rollup and the values are accurate (they match) about the invoices i apologize but yes that was a mistake it was another report I used that detailed that information SOP Sales Transaction Detail History Report Total= Lps 1,397,957.43 874 invoices

    In reference to Receivables Management is there a way to remove this option or filter it so just the detail of sales is displayed.

    Hi Mayra,

    You need to come to one of the conferences! The GPUG Summit is being held in Orlando in October.

    Back to your question, yes, you can figure out which transactions in the GL came from RM instead of SOP. There are three fields in the GL file, probably any one of them will due, but I haven't tested it. Go to your Account Transactions SmartList and then add the following columns:

    Source Document

    Originating TRX Source

    Originating Source

    You can tell from one of these fields where the transaction originated. I hope this is what you needed to know. If not, please let me know.
