Can we create a formula where we can check the cost percentage per region and comparing it through the consolidated region or subsidiaries.

    Hello,

Yes, this can be done cleanly using Account Schedules by adding formula columns that calculate each region’s cost as a percentage of the Consolidation (total) column. In the Column Layout, keep your existing amount columns, then add new columns with Column Type = Formula and formulas like US / Consolidation * 100, Ireland / Consolidation * 100, etc. When used on the Total Cost row, this shows each region’s share of the consolidated cost and lets you easily compare subsidiaries against the group, as long as the consolidation column represents the true total.

As far as Business Central view is concerned, I tried thinking of applying various formulas but it won't work. You can create column through for each region's % to consolidated amount. But that will be too many columns.

Another and I guess better alternative is utilizing Excel Layout feature of Financial report where if you export this report in excel you can get this row created in excel with easy excel formula and you will get the data. However that row will not be visible in Business Central Financial Report view.

Here is link to the feature - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0fzwIwCladI&t=6s (Check the excel layout feature).

    Dhiren.
