Issue Printing a check on Dot matrix printer.

Hello everyone,

We want to print checks on a dot matrix printer, the check is printed on 8.5 "x 5.5 paper size.

In the report properties we select:
Paper size = Custom.
width = 8.5 "
height = 5.5 "
The orientation automatically changes from portrait to landscape after select height.
When sending the printout, check information appears vertically on then printer.

Has anyone had the experience of how to correctly configure the printing settings?
How do I configure so that the paper size is recognized (8.5 "x 5.5") and does not change the orientation?

Any suggestion?

After select Height size , Paper orientation changes to Landscape.

Hello,

I recall this issue about 15 years ago when Dot Matrix printing was still occurring. I would talk to your Partner Developer and make sure the properties and settings in the report reflect the size and orientation. If you are using report 1401 (Check) this is the report to look at.

Not sure if you like using Dot matrix printing but the process of printing checks is more manageable with Laser printer and if you want to print the MICR codes this is possible too with BC.
