"Field 'Name' must be filled in". while creating hire new worker in Ax 2012 R3 CU8

Hi,

When I am trying to create new employee from Ax-> Payroll->employees->hire new worker in 

ax 2012 r3 cu8.

After filliing all fields when clicking on hire new worker it gives warning message

"Field 'Name' must be filled in". 

I tried to debug also but didn't get anywhere anything about this warning.

Kindly help me.

I am in UAT with client at onsite. Please help me at the earliest.

    The first question is of course, do you have any customizations done in this area (form, table)? Do you see all three fields First, middle, last name in the hire new worker form?

    I can see a couple reasons why this could happen.

    First, just to get it out of the way:

    Is there a field called name that was personalized or customized off the form that needs to be filled in? Likely DirPartyTable.

    Then, is the form you on customized with an added data source (one that just has a reference field added)?

    We've experienced problems with data sources still trying to validate a write even with AllowEdit and AllowCreate set to no. Our solution to this has been to overwrite the validateWrite() and write() methods on the data source and comment out the super() call.

    probably you were missing default value in Name sequence parameter:

    /Organization administration/Setup/Global address book/Global address book parameters/General/Name sequence

    Hi Raj,

    Check if there is any customization where a field called 'Name' whose mandatory property is set to Yes.
