Dynamics AX 2012 - An exchange rate cannot be found for exchange rate type Default between currencies USD and EUR on exchange data .

Hi all,

I am trying to settle the open balances on an account in AX 2012 through the following form:

Sales Ledger > Common > Customers > All customers > Collect tab > Settle Open Balances

However, upon opening the form, I am receiving the following error:

An exchange rate cannot be found for exchange rate type Default between currencies USD and EUR on exchange date .

A strange thing is that, in the transactions forms, all the transactions have an amount in Euro, which means that the conversion was done.

What could be the problem please?  How can I solve it?

UPDATE:

For some reason or another, this happens for this particular customer only.  For other customers, the exception is NOT displayed.

    Hi,

Can you check on which dates the customer transactions are posted and if you have exchange rates configured on or before these dates?

You can also try to change the 'Settlement reversal posting date' to have it on e.g. 'Today's date'. Which parameter was used here?

    Hi Andre,

Thank you so much for your response.  I am currently checking the customer transactions as suggested in your answer.  Thanks.

    Hi again Andre,

I checked the transactions and basically the first exchange rate starts before the date of the oldest transaction.

Have you already tried to change the 'Settlement reversal posting date' on the settlements form? This was the second part from my previous reply.

    Hi Andre,

I solved it.  Basically, there were some marked transactions which had a due date which was set to a period before the From Date of the oldest exchange rate.  For some reason, these did not display in the transactions form.

Thanks a lot for your time and assistance.  I appreciate it immensely.  Have a nice day.
